About Joanne
I’ve been in the private practice of psychotherapy since 1990. I am a licensed clinical social worker. L.C.S.W.** I received my Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Houston and became licensed in the state of Colorado in 1992. I’ve taught in the Graduate Department of Psychology at Regis University.

I’m a member of the National Association of Social Workers, www.naswdc.org and the Anxiety Disorders Association of America, www.adaa.org. Additionally, I’m trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, www.acceptanceandcommitmenttherapy.com.

I believe that therapy should be an empowering experience for you. Although I may know more about psychological treatments and processes, the person that knows the most about what works for you is you. Sensible and effective treatment focuses on what works for you in your particular life situation.
